Goa govt bid to make Konkani irrelevant

This week CM Pramod Sawant showed concern for the Konkani cause  stating that Konkani must be spoken at home to preserve the language/identity and tried to market his government's "superficial" action for the cause of the language; by making some changes in jobs mandating the usage of Konkani. My question to the Goa CM is that, even if the 2 points stated above are addressed in the positive, will Konkani survive considering that the Goa government has a much bigger policy of encouraging un-controlled/rampant real estate development in Goa. By bringing in large number of non-Konkani speakers; the increase in demographics will totally overwhelm the Konkani speakers in Goa. In my view, the CM knows that his corrupt government's real estate policy is pushing Konkani to being irrelevant in Goa, but he is very /deceitfully trying to shift the guilt/blame for the same back to Goans for the potential damage to Konkani in Goa. It appears what the Portuguese failed to do in destroying the relevance of Konkani will be done by this BJP Goa government in the short to medium term; unless Goans wake up and act accordingly!
