Higher education needs a practical focus

The Hansa Research Survey 2026 is a beacon that can guide aspiring students towards the country's top universities. It is heartening that many leading universities have adopted new methods of imparting knowledge and practical skills that can deliver real workplace capability with long-term transformation.
As several experts point out, merely piling up credentials and vast amounts of content does not produce sharp thinkers who become scientists in the long run, strong leaders or more adaptable professionals. The goal must be to build a potent workforce capable of driving the economy, not on false narratives but through sharp, experienced economists to build a strong economy for the nation. At a time when the shelf life of knowledge is shrinking and skills are increasingly becoming perishable, staying updated has become the new mantra. Times have changed at a rapid pace, and it's time we changed too; otherwise, we will be left behind by other countries.
