With regards to DGP Jaspal Singh now being transferred to Delhi, why, may I ask, is he immune from prosecution? Why can’t he be prosecuted for his crimes like any other ordinary citizen? It is alleged that he abetted/allowed a crime to take place, which makes him part of the criminal team on the Assagao demolition.
Is this a positive sign for law enforcement if a tainted DGP is given charge of another place, instead of being punished for his wrongdoing? No wonder, the police force in India/Goa is viewed as a highly corrupt entity with such serious lapses in the law/police system. The right thing to do is to suspend him and have him on trial; if found guilty, he should be relieved of his duties and forego any pensions/benefits by the government. It is a pity that the ruling legislators are failing the citizens on such a horrible system of managing a police force.
