There is increasing concern globally on growing food shortages and even its contamination via toxins/chemicals/preservatives etc; currently and going into the near future. Hence fields/agricultural lands will be a luxury of the future. One can see many of the world's wealthiest people buying up such land across the world as they can foresee its value. Many Goans are blessed to have fields/agricultural land which were preserved/handed over from their ancestors. I request these Goans to please prioritize these luxuries of the future as long term sustainable options for themselves and their next generations; start making use of them and avoid temptations of short-term gains by looking for real estate development opportunities to be done by themselves or by the environmentally destructive real estate builders/lobby. Protecting fields also helps safeguard the environment, nature, water resources, and clean air, which in turn supports the good health of residents.
