On May 17 late evening when I went to a jogging park at Caranzalem I was surprised to see the metal railing all around the Dr Jack de Sequeira circle. From a distance it appears that his statue which is standing tall is put in jail. These metallic railings doesn't make an impact that once upon a time this circle was grand but lately cows started coming and spoiling the greenery of the island put by forest department. By doing so they destroyed the beauty of the island.
I have spoken to our concerned councillor Nelson Cabral who promised me to take up the matter with the government. These metal railings should be removed and appropriate changes be made in consultations with concerned nearby residents. It is also noted that Dr Jack de Sequeira's statue is kept in the dark.
