I have been using the PWD Goa app frequently. When I travel in Goa and notice any road defects or water leakages, the app has become an effective way to report them to PWD officials, who are otherwise known for being very lackadaisical in their work. I encourage Goenkars to download and use the app.
Recently, I sent many complaints regarding potholes on our MDR-10 road. Although the Jet Patcher was quickly used, the patches were equally quickly washed away by the rains. PWD engineers need to check the quality of the asphalt being used by the contractor or engage a consultant to ensure a proper mixture is prepared and used. Addressing potholes during the monsoons is crucial as they are very dangerous for riders, drivers, and cyclists, leading to vehicle damage, injuries, and even deaths.Let’s not use the Jet Patcher just for temporary fixes. The work needs to be cost-effective and guaranteed, otherwise, taxpayers’ money is wasted on poor quality work.
