In his ‘Mann ki Baat’ PM Modi appealed to the people to make a mass movement to eradicate malnutrition. PM somehow gets away with no concrete action and just talk. Malnutrition in its 4 forms affects large parts of the country with even deaths.
The highest courts in India said no one must have to tighten their belts for want of food. But this talk alone will not change the ground reality.
Does the budget figure malnutrition eradication? Will the ever-increasing prices of food and fuel -- fuel affects transport costs -- even lower malnutrition? Rs 500 crores were was spent on the ‘Tiranga’ fiasco, in whose pockets did this money go?
Surely, if malnutrition eradication is a BJP objective, the mass movement he calls for should have kick-started on this year’s Independence Day.
In Goa, our CM says he does not sell dreams but acts. But I beg to differ -- like the Centre he only speaks away problems.
The 'mann ki baat’ is actually a programme of ‘don’t ask what the government can do for you, but what you can do for the country’ because the BJP only speaks.
