The shocking incident of a Bal Rath bus carrying 34 school children that went off the road and landed in a trench along the road is surely a wakeup call for the authorities and the concerned school management.
The incident occurred early morning and according to the driver the steering of the bus got locked leading to the accident.
It was sheer providence that the student escaped with minor injuries or else the consequences could have been disastrous.
From initial observation, it does not seem that the school bus was maintained properly and school management had not taken proper care to see the condition of bus before it plies on road.
Bal Rath buses are mainly for school students and school is given grant to take care of the buses. However, the said incident has highlighted the negligence on part of school management and the driver.
It is important to see that buses, especially those for school students are in good condition as lives of children are at risk.
This is surely an eye opener and concerned authorities need to take all possible steps to avert such incidents in the future.
