Dance bars must dance to tune of Goa Police

With regards to the news item "Lobo meets DGP seeking action against dance bars" ( The Goan Everyday December 15, 2022 ), Calangute MLA Michael Lobo has shown that he is serious about curbing the menace of dance bars that ruin the youths. Goa police must ensure a prompt crackdown on these illegal dance bars across the coastal belt where amoral activities thrive with huge sums of money going into the coffers of touts. Dance bars encourage human trafficking,  use of psychotropic substances, and; not to mention the consumption of alcohol under the influence of which the youths end up blowing huge sums of money enticed by young dancers in skimpy outfits. It is heartening to see that the political class has finally read the writing on the wall. The bottom line is these dance bars must dance to the tune of Goa police and dance their way out of Goa unceremoniously.
