Of late, the door-to-door collection of garbage at Balaji Bhawan Complex (opposite Shree Maruti temple at Varkhandem) in Ponda has been found to be irregular.
Garbage remains uncollected for two to three days. The situation turns unhygienic for the occupants staying at this particular complex. Even visitors are put to inconvenience due to accumulation of household garbage at the entrance.
The officials at the Ponda Municipal Council should take note of above and see to it that the garbage is collected regularly thereby maintaining hygienic conditions.
Workers who abstain from collecting garbage should be taken to task. Since cleanliness is next to godliness, let us hope that regular clearance of garbage would be assured at this jurisdiction on a permanent basis.
