Goa government is reported to be sending its crime branch to North India to track down those responsible for creating/sharing videos which allege corruption in government spending and policies. Is the Goa government saying the latter is not true? What about: Smart City Panaji excessive expenses and yet in a pathetic state, spending Rs 40 lakh on ladoos, Zuari Land which was acquired for 25 paise /sqm and now being developed by real estate companies at more than a lakh /sqm, massive land conversions done for wealthy individuals/companies from outside Goa in violation of environmental laws, what has happened to the Rs 35,000 crore of mining loot that this ruling party had earlier promised to recover? These are just a few examples of dare I say it "corruption". So if the corruption is true, then why is the Goa government targeting influencers on charges of defaming the Goa government on corruption or is it just a threat not to highlight corruption in a democracy? There is enough crime and corruption in Goa by politicians and administration; for which the time of the Crime Branch can be more productively used.
