The new Manohar International Airport at Mopa, Goa is offering the airlines lower parking fees, better refuelling with better facilities and this is the main reason the international and national airlines are shifting to Mopa international airport from the Dabolim airport without thinking about the common man. This is what I had expected once the airport at Mopa started, the airlines will move from Dabolim airport which will finally be closed for civilians because the airlines cannot pay the fees at both the airports and their ground staff. Politicians have played their games safely and have shown their true colours to the people of Goa. The highway work on way to the new airport is pending and the airlines without thinking about the safety of the people who travel by road want to shift to Mopa. The government of Goa and Kadamba Transport Corporation have to put direct Kadamba air conditioned bus from Mopa airport to Panaji and Margao. Airlines changing their routes suddenly is not a good idea. It's better to travel from Mumbai by rail or road than go by airlines where we will lose time and money.
