It is reported in the local dailies that Chief Minister Pramod Sawant in the presence of the Margao MLA Digambar Kamat has laid the foundation stone for two major projects in Margao, the construction of a six lane road over bridge near the railway station at Rawanfond and second project of widening roads from Khareband bridge to Rawanfond circle.
It is learnt through the news that during the function CM Sawant has expressed his gratitude to Kamat and assured that all the proposals put forth by him (MLA) would be translated into development projects.
Surprising the Margao MLA has recently joined the BJP and so soon Sawant has rewarded him priority on his proposals. If so, successive Mayem BJP MLAs has promised the Chorao islanders that the foundation stone for the Chorao “Salvador do Mundo bridge will be laid shortly. The proposal put forth by them before the government has been years since. The question arises is why the Mayem BJP MLAs are still not getting priority treatment like Margao MLA?
