Pallottine Fathers doing yeoman service

Hearty congratulations to the Pallottine Fathers on completion of 60 fruitful years of its mission in Goa. To mark the Diamond Jubilee the Pallottines had a thanksgiving mass at its premises in Assagao.

The Pallottines started their work in Assagao in 1962 at the manor  house which once belonged to late Domingo Caetano Athaide of Assagao.

lt was called Vhodlem Ghor because of its size and grandeur. The Pallottines opened an apostolic school here in 1963 after extending the house  named it Casa Pallotti.

Today, Casa Pallotti and Pradeepa are landmarks in Assagao. The present Rector of the Institute is Fr Nelson Rodrigues.

The Pallottines have their presence in Chicalim and Chandor too. The Archidiocese of Goa and Daman have also entrusted them with the pastoral care of 5 churches in Goa at Pernem, Mormugao, Tormas, Sarzora and Badem.

The Pallotine Fathers have been of great service to the people wherever they are present. They continue to do excellent work in Goa and they have truly done us proud. May their tribe increase manifold.
