Over the past several days viewers of TV news channels have witnessed media vehicles pursuing cars of celebrities who are being summoned for the drugs probe by the NCB in Mumbai.
Media persons were even seen chasing cars carrying those people called for interrogation by the CBI investigating in the Sushant Singh Rajput death case.
One is reminded of the paparazzi who chased the car of Princess Diana which led to the fatal accident. These TV reporters are seen getting off the cars at the traffic signals and asking questions to the occupants. This can prove very dangerous for the reporters as well as other road users and the general public.
It seems absolutely unnecessary for the media persons to chase these cars. People are more concerned about how the investigation is proceeding and its final outcome.
The only reason for reporters to chase these cars could be to get more TRPs for their respective news channel. It is understood that the Mumbai police on Saturday warned media vehicles against pursuing vehicles of the celebrities from the rear, front, sides, getting off their vehicles and asking questions.
The police has warned that if any vehicle was found violating it, the vehicle would be seized and action would be taken against the drivers of the vehicle and rightly so.
