But this move feels like a diversion. The root cause is clear to most Goans: rampant deforestation and hill-cutting to pave the way for senseless “development” projects. Much of this activity appears driven by a nexus between real estate developers and corrupt politicians, who prioritize personal gain over the environment and public good.
Calling in WII seems like a performative act by a compromised government”more about appearances than solutions”wasting precious time, energy, and public money.
Goans must wake up and see through this deception. The State’s forests and ecology are being destroyed not by wildlife, but by unchecked greed and political malpractice. It's time to hold ministers accountable and demand sustainable, people-first policies that protect Goa’s environment and future.
