The signboard at the entrance of a washroom at Mopa airport carries the photo of Bom Jesus Basilica of Old Goa which is a sacred monument and place of worship for the people of Goa. The idea of printing the photo of the Basilica may be to promote tourism in Goa but the question is, is it appropriate to display the photo of this sacred monument on the signboard of a toilet? The Catholic community is hurt by the insensitive idea of the persons who are responsible for this thoughtless decision and has not taken it kindly. The Government and tourism department should step in and order the immediate removal of this signboard.
