Every time on the eve of any festival, the government makes big announcements that all the roads will be hot-mixed and will be free of pot-holes.
Similar announcements were made before Chaturthi and Diwali. Now Christmas is around the corner and the roads are the same.
Instead, we see huge banners and boards put up by the respective MLAs wishing people during festivals.
During Nilesh Cabral’s tenure, a pot-hole patching machine was also brought in which did quite a good job.
Now that Cabral has been shunted out of the Cabinet, the PWD portfolio is with Chief Minister Pramod Sawant. Hope our chief minister lives up to his word at least now that the PWD portfolio is with him and moves on to make our roads pot-hole free.
