Every time the CM is a bit melodramatic it ruffles a few feathers. We have to have some sympathy for our Hindu bretheren. India was a nation among few who never invaded another country. The same can be said for Goa as a State. Every CM has to play his cards well. Be it the unemployment one, the religious one, the minority one or the vote bank one. Just like ice-cream flavours, the Portuguese in Goa were no more than a different flavour. Definitely better than the earlier Mughal flavour. Now wouldn't the British be a better flavour than the Portuguese one? If not so then why are Goans today getting Portuguese passports in order to migrate to England ? At the end of the day the CM is doing a fairly good job holding the fort. It is the higher ups calling the shots who decide matters. Whether to play a trump card or to shuffle or to hold back, why blame it on him. It is perhaps rightly said that people get a government they deserve.
