Why is road safety not taken seriously?

Almost every day, we read in the newspaper about accidents. Sometimes they involve hit-and-run cases, other times they involve drink-and-drive incidents, etc.

Are we enjoying reading such news? Why are our hearts becoming so hardened day by day? Why don’t we feel extreme pain until the victims become our own? Why is there no serious thinking from our elected representatives? What is their focus? Has death become like a carrom board game? Why is the common man suffering because of somebody’s mistakes or mischief? Why are we least bothered about our responsibilities?

Is this the government’s hidden agenda to minimize population explosion? Why is our human value degrading day by day? Is money our only god and everything? Are our emotions and feelings dead too? Why do politicians only think about elections? Why isn’t the media focusing on the ‘EVM hatao’ campaign? Where are we heading? Why have think tanks become blind and deaf?
