Road accidents involving young drivers have become a growing concern. Reports of speeding, dangerous stunts, and traffic violations by youths appear frequently, often endangering innocent lives. In many cases, instead of accepting responsibility, offenders rely on family influence, wealth, or political connections to escape consequences. This “Hello Papa” mindset reflects a troubling belief that privilege places some individuals above the law. While most parents teach discipline and respect for rules, some unintentionally encourage entitlement by shielding their children from accountability. Such actions create a perception that justice is not applied equally. Ordinary citizens who break traffic laws often face penalties, while influential individuals are sometimes seen as avoiding punishment. This weakens public trust in the legal system. The issue extends beyond reckless driving; it is about values and responsibility. True parental support means teaching children to face the consequences of their actions, not protecting them from them. Respect is earned through honesty, discipline, and responsible behaviour. Traffic laws must apply equally to all, regardless of status or influence. Safer roads and a fairer society depend on young people learning that every action carries responsibility.
