It has become increasingly evident that numerous delivery riders and auto rickshaws registered outside Goa are operating freely within the state. This blatant disregard for regulations highlights a serious lapse by the RTO, traffic cell, and police department, who seem to be turning a blind eye to these violations. These vehicles are being used commercially without proper checks on critical documents such as registration, insurance, pollution certificates, and driving licences. Such negligence not only endangers public safety but also undermines the local transport ecosystem. Outsiders frequently flout traffic laws, adding to congestion and accidents. The lax attitude of authorities emboldens them, creating an unfair environment for local drivers and compromising the safety of all road users. Goa should not just be a tourist haven but a model of law and order. Transport officials must conduct rigorous inspections and enforce regulations strictly to restore order. It is imperative to protect the rights of Goan residents and ensure that traffic laws are respected by everyone.
