‘Gorjechem’ presented by St. Anthony’s High School, Monte de Guirim bagged the 1st place at the 6th Childrens Tiatr festival organised by the Tiatr Academy of Goa. ‘Novi Kidd’ staged by Britona Dramatic Academy stood 2nd while ‘Music…Music…Music…!’ produced by Kala Niketan, Majorda won the 3rd place. Marciano Noronha (Gorjechem) won the 1st prize for direction, Epifanio Valadares (Novi Kidd) bagged 2nd prize, while Shirish Naik (Vadd) secured the 3rd place. Carey Fernandes in ‘Music…Music…Music…!’ bagged the 1st prize for male acting while Alister Pereira ‘Devak Zai Zalear’ won the 2nd prize. In the female category Laurel D’Souza in ‘Gorjechem’ won the 1st prize, while Shefali S. Mandrekar in ‘Vadd’ won the 2nd prize. The Best Script writing award went to Michael Gracias (Music…Music…Music…!) while the 2nd prize was bagged by Edmund Vaz (Vadd). The judges for the competition were Sharon Mazarello, Antonio Vital Furtado and Cruz Pinto. The prize distribution will be held on January 5, 2016 at Gomant Vidya Niketan, Margao.
