Guess what prompted TCP Minister Vishwajitbab Rane to move heaven and earth when his attention was drawn to the illegal houses in Davorlim? Well, Rane was quick to dash off a note to the Margao Municipal Council Chief Officer to examine whether the houses have come up within the periphery of the Margao municipality. If so, Vishwajitbab called for strict action by the Chief Officer and was believed to have asked for an explanation from the Chief Officer within 48 hours why there was no action against the illegal houses if they have come up in Margao. Even BJP leader Babu Ajgaonkar was taken aback over why Rane was proactive in the Davorlim illegal housing matter.
