Why is BJP MLA Ulhasbab Tuenkar silent on the contentious issue of the Davorlim illegal houses? This question is doing the rounds in BJP circles with BJP leaders -- Babu Ajgaonkar and ST leader Anthonybab Barbosa -- crossing swords over the illegal houses. In fact, Ulhasbab has maintained a stoic silence over the issue when a raging storm hit Davorlim village falling in his Navelim constituency. His silence is being interpreted and viewed in political circles as one that is in agreement with the Davorlim panchayat’s decision not to issue house numbers to the illegal houses. In the bargain, the first-time MLA has blocked the aspirations of politicians, who have set eyes on Navelim in 2027. Any takers?
