Is the Goa Congress headed by GPCC chief Amit Patkar ready to face the RG challenge in the 2024 Lok Sabha polls? Well, RG chief Manojbab Parab was in Saxttidom recently as he took up cudgels for the locals against scrapyards and land filling when he minced no words in saying the RG would contest both the Lok Sabha seats in 2024. It’s an open secret that the RG and the Aam Aadmi Party had made deep inroads in the Congress vote bank in the 2022 polls, leaving the national party stranded on 11 seats. Observers say the Congress indeed has a task cut out how to protect its traditional voter base, before taking on the saffron brigade. Indeed a challenge of sort for the Congress leadership.

Amongst the guests who joined the birthday celebrations were Margao city fathers aligned to both Goa Forward and the BJP. Any questions?
Did CT Ravi push ball in CM’s court on Cong turncoats’ issue?
June 14 marked the completion of nine months since the eight Congress turncoats had embraced the saffron brigade on September 14. What, however, is significant to note is that BJP Goa desk in-charge, C T Ravi was in the State earlier this week and he seemed to have pushed the ball into CM Pramodbab Sawant’s court over the oft-repeated question of induction of MLAs in the cabinet. Political observers are trying to figure out whether C T Ravi pushed the ball in the CM’s court to wriggle himself out of the situation or whether there’s something more than meets the eye. Wait and watch.
