It’s carnival time, time for merry-making. With politicians bracing up to soak in the carnival festivities, a usual question did the rounds on the eve of the festivities whether all’s well in the government. This question should certainly not bother a government enjoying the support of 33 members in the 40-member Assembly. Post-defection by the eight Congress MLAs, however, whispers are being heard in the corridors of power, with many an original ruling MLA complaining of newcomers gaining priority in matters of development. Interesting, isn’t it?
