TSCA, Hubli defeated Cardinal Gracious School by nine wickets on the first day of the All India Bhikoo Pai Angle Memorial U-15 cricket tournament, at KRC ground, Margao, on Saturday.
Cardinal GS won the toss and opted to bat. They were 97 all out in 36.2 overs. Rudra Tawde was the top scorer with 33 followed by Neil Nagap (10).
Arjun Ramesh scalped a five wicket haul while Shubh M and Anup Annigeri picked two wickets each. TSCA chased down the target in 19.5 overs. Ruhan Shaikh (38) and A R Smith (45) remained unbeaten.
Meanwhile, at Mashem ground, after opting to bat first, Narmada CA were bundled out for 85 in 28 overs. Cyclone CA's Rama Teja scalped four wickets. They chased down the target in 20.5 overs to win the match by four wickets.
Elsewhere, at Sanguem ground, Union Gymkhana won by 9 wickets against Sports Authority of Goa after opting to bowl. SAG all out for 97 in 41.3 overs. Sarvambh Naik (10), Neek Pednekar (19*) and Atharva (11) were the top run getters in the innings. Nischal Hiremath, Meer M and Gaurav Patil picked two wickets each.
In reply, Union Gymkhana closed the match in 19.1 overs after Sairaj Salunke scored a half century.
