UC Benaulim prevailed over Benaulim Veterans with a 3-1 win after a stellar performance by Austin D'Silva who scored a hat-trick in an exhilarating inter-ward match, organised by V P Cana Benaulim,at SAG ground, Vaddie, Benaulim.
The game kicked off with UC Benaulim immediately going on the offense. Midfielders Clifford and Lyndon displayed excellent coordination, leading to the first goal as Austin Dsilva's precise shot found the back of the net. The first half concluded with UC Benaulim leading 1-0.
After the lemon break, Benaulim Veterans attempted to dominate but struggled against the youthful energy of UC Benaulim. Austin quickly added two more goals to solidify their lead. Despite a valiant effort, Benaulim Veterans managed only a consolation goal through Luis Menin. Austin D'Silva was deservedly awarded Man of the Match by Sarpanch Xavier Pereira.
