Immaculate Conception Madel secured a narrow 1-0 victory over St Joseph Dramapur in the All Goa Inter Parish boys' football tournament, held at the church ground in Seraulim and organised by the Seraulim Parish Youth.
The decisive goal was scored by Hayston Costa, proving crucial for Madel’s success.
In the semi-finals, Immaculate Conception Madel triumphed over Our Lady of Lourdes Ambelim, while St Joseph Dramapur advanced by defeating St Michael, Orlim.
In the ladies tie-breaker tournament, St Thomas, Cansaulim emerged as champions, winning 2-1 against Our Lady of Merces, Colva.
Fr. John Gonsalves served as the chief guest and presented the awards. The tournament featured participation from 29 boys' teams and 14 girls' teams, showcasing a vibrant day of football competition.
