Ambelim Sports Club started the game on an attacking intent and troubled the rival defence with well-orchestrated raids. However, it was Sporting Club of Davorlim who broke the deadlock in the 20th minute when Abay Shetty's left-footed strike beat Ambelim goalkeeper Benny Silva hands down. However, their joy was short-lived and within three minutes, Samson Fernandes' well executed free kick eluded the Davorlim goalkeeper Sachin Ashtekar to put his team on equal terms.
The equalizer boosted the morale of Ambelim Sports Club players as they intensified their attacks and fired a couple of shots against the rival goal but their forwards misfired from close range.
Post resumption, Sporting Club of Davorlim showed the ascendancy and conjured three scoring opportunities.
With winger Perryson Rebello in the thick of action, the Ambelim goalkeeper Benny Silva rushed out sensing danger, but despite an empty goal inviting him, Perryson Rebello sent his snap shot wide. Davorlim's best chance came midway in the second half but Perryson Rebello shot wide much to the disappointment of Davorlim supporters with 12 minute reaming for the final whistle.
Samson Simoes' rasping shot deflected from the rival defender and eluded the Davorlim goalkeppeer that turned out to be winning goal for Ambelim Sports Club.
