St Cruz Club Cavelossim hammered Curtorim Gymkhana 6-1 in the ninth round match of the Goa Pro League, at Duler Stadium, here, on Thursday.
Severino Fernandes’ side move to ten points while Curtorim Gymkhana are yet to open their account.
Cavelossim took the lead in the ninth minute as Rahul Kumar set up Edberg Sequeira, who made no mistake in finding the back of the nets.
Crossing over, Cavelossim fired in three goals through Melwin Fernandes and Myron Fernandes’ brace.
Cavelossim did not stop there and continued to attack. In the 89th minute, medio Rayman Fernandes made it 5-0.However, Curtorim Gymkhana pulled a goal back through Imamsad Guledgodda’s long ranger.In the injury time, youngster Clencio Pinto, who came in as a substitute, got his name also on the scorers' list to round off the score tally to 6-1.
