MARGAO
CCP Panjim defeated Cuncolim Municipality to win the all Goa inter-municipality cricket tournament, at SAG Sports Complex, at Fatorda, on Saturday.
A total of 12 Municipality and DMA teams took part in the day long tournament.
Cuncolim Municipality opted to bat first and scored 27 runs in the alloted 4 overs. In reply, CCP Panjim chased down the target in 3 overs.
Digamber Kamat MLA of Margao was the chief guest and gave away the prizes to the winners and runners-up in the presence of other dignitaries.
Individual awards: Best bowler: Chandan (CCP); Best batsman: Prasad Amonker (CCP); Best fielder: Ashok Gaonkar; Man of the final: Rohit (CCP); Man of the series: Ankush (Cuncolim); Best disciplined team: Margao Municipality
