In a game of missed chances, Don Bosco Oratory prevailed over Parish Youth Nuvem via the tiebreaker 4-3 to enter the semifinals of the Cavelossim Villagers UK Cup organised by Santa Cruz Club of Cavelossim at Fr Druston and Wellington ground, Cavelossim.

The first half was dominated by Don Bosco and in the very seventh minute, a a long pass by Velton D'Souza to Valiston D'Souza on the right flank was nicely crossed to Sweton Rebello, who took a first-time shot that hit the crossbar and rolled out of play.

Don Bosco continued to miss fire when Maxwell Furtado dribbled on the right flank and gave a clean pass to an onrushing Sweton Rebello, whose powerful shot from close range was blocked by Nuvem keeper Mackvino Colaco diving to his left. On the other side, Nuvem had their share of missed opportunities as Flayton Quadros made a move from the left flank and floated the ball to Nicolas Colaco, who missed an easy header to put Nuvem ahead.

In the second half, Parish Youth's Jayson Dias passed the ball to skipper Joerose Olivera with all the defenders beaten, and with only the goalkeeper to beat, shot inches wide of the left post to the utter dismay of the team's supporters. With just two minutes remaining, Ivon Colaco went solo on the left flank and back-heeled the ball to Schubert Borges whose rasping shot hit the bar and fell for Milroy, who shot at the open goal, only for Don Bosco keeper Karol Soares to fist the ball off the goalline.

With the match ending tied, the penalties decided the winner. Maxwell Furtado, Veliston D'Souza, Valton D'Souza and Velito Miranda scored for Don Bosco while Nicolus Colaco, Joerose Olivera and Myron Borges converted for Nuvem. Karol Soares of Don Bosco saved the penalties from Jason and Milroy to put Don Bosco into the last-four.
