Representing the Sesa Football Academy team in the Goa Pro League and the Goa State team in the Santosh Trophy, D'Silva's stellar performances have garnered widespread attention. However, both teams ended up as runners-up.
In the Goa Pro League, D'Silva etched his name in history as the all-time highest scorer with an impressive tally of 24 goals. His remarkable feat surpasses the records set by Joel Sunday and Devendra Murgaonkar in previous seasons. Additionally, D'Silva showcased his playmaking abilities with 5 assists and earned 8 Man of the Match awards throughout the season.
Some notable highlights of D'Silva's performances in the Goa Pro League include scoring 4 goals against Dempo, 3 goals against Pax of Nagoa and Sporting Clube de Goa each, 2 goals against Churchill Brothers, Panjim Footballers, and Vasco SC, among others.
In the 77th Santosh Trophy Final Round, D'Silva continued to shine with crucial contributions to the Goa State team. His notable performances include scoring goals against Arunachal Pradesh, Services, and Assam, as well as providing vital assists in the semi-finals against Manipur, ultimately leading Goa to the finals.
D'Silva's exceptional talent, characterized by his speed, precision, and positional awareness, has caught the attention of top teams across the league. Drawing inspiration from his brother Aaren D’Silva, who has been with Hyderabad FC for the last three seasons, Joshua is poised to make further strides in his career.
