The highlight of the match was a seven-goal blitz, including a hat-trick, by striker Liston Colaco. Andrus John was the other scorer for the
winners.
Salgaocar upped their ante and Andrus John opened the floodgates in the very 2nd minute off a well measured cross from Liston Colaco.
After taking the lead, Salgaocar played with fluidity and kept possession as they pinned down Bhutia school to their own half. Liston Colaco who was the fulcrum in the attack headed home a lob from Shane Rodrigues in the 21st minute and 15 minutes later register his brace. Crossing over, it was a one-way traffic for Salgaocar as striker Liston completed his hat-trick off Davendra Murgaonkar pass in the 48th minute. This was not the end of Liston as he seemed hungry for more goals and pumped in two more in the 61st and 72nd minute making it 5-0. In the 73rd minute BBFS pulled one back but as the ball was placed on the centre mark for the restart of play, Liston shot the ball directly into the BBFS goal which surprised everyone. The scoreline read 7-1 and Liston completed his double hat-trick. In the 87th minute Liston again scored with an individual effort making it his 7th and Salgaocar’s 8th. Bhutia schools scored in the 92nd minute.
