The 36th Petroleum Sports Promotion Board Inter Unit Football Tournament will kick off on Monday, November 23 at Duler Stadium, Mapusa.
Seven petroleum boards “ Engineers India Limited (Delhi), Numaligarh Refineries Limited (Assam), Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (Mumbai), Chennai Petrochemicals Limited (Chennai), Oil and Natural Gas Commission (Dehradun), Oil India Limited (Assam) and the host unit Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (Mumbai), will vie for the title. The defending champions are Oil India Limited.
The tournament will see ex-India senior internationals Amit Bhadra, Tausif Jamal, Mushtaq Ali, Shanti Mazumdar, Jatin Singh Bisht and junior India internationals Mintu Boro, Nabin Rabha, Gerermsha Basumatary, Jyotish Basumatary, Bilifang Narzary, Dharmesh Patel, Fanai Lalmuanpuia in action.
The finals will be held on November 27. The tournament is being organised with the help of technical assistance from Goa Football Association.
