The event is being organised by Ambelim Sports Club in association with Goa Sevens. Eight teams from GFA’s Goa Professional League will participate in the tournament.
The star attraction at the event will be a housie game with a Suzuki Access as the prize. This housie will be played everyday at the tournament with the winner taking home the bike. The winning team will take home a cash prize of Rs 5 lakhs while the runners-up will get Rs 3 lakhs.
This tournament has been conceptualized by Ambelim Sports Club and Goa Sevens Sports and Cultural Association. Ambelim Sports Club has been in existence since 1960 and they have produced national and international players for India.
The club has a long running grassroots training programme with a vision to provide more talent to the football scene and also to have a grip on the evolving trends in football. Amongst one such initiatives, the club will be holding the fast-paced
sevens tourney.
