Six Sticks Bastora beat Young Sports Mapusa 2-1 in the one-day 6-a-side-mixed hockey tournament organised by JCI Bardez Bandhan in collaboration with Young Sports Hockey Club at Pedem Sports Complex Mapusa on Monday. Abbusaliya and Mylen scored for the winners while Aviraj reduced the margin.
JFM Shiya Naik, President of JCI Bardez Bandhan was the Chief Guest and gave away the prizes. In the semifinals, Six Sticks beat San Warriors and Young Sports Mapusa beat Team Bastora. In all
8 teams took part in the tournament. Best player - Santosh Vaddotti; Best defender - Gaurav Palyekar; Best forward - Apeksha Karapurkar and Best goalkeeper - Aaban Shaikh.
