PANAJI

The TriGoa Foundation, Panaji will organise its first, 100km endurance cycle ride of the  season on Sunday, October 4.The ride will be held separately in both Panaji and Margao areas to suit both, North and South Goa cyclists. Announcing this in a media release on Monday, Rajesh Malhotra, founder, TriGoa Foundation said that there would also be a 50km ride for new cyclists held on the same day in both the areas.
“The 100km cycle rides were being organised to encourage new riders to experience the International Audax Brevet format ( 200km,300km, 400km and 600km cycle rides) and to offer experienced endurance cyclists a practice ride to kick-start the brevet season in October 2020,” Malhotra said. He added that this was not a “race” and cyclists needed to finish the ride in the allotted time to earn a finisher medal.

Participant  must be 15 years of age to register for the event, but riders less than 18 years of age need to be accompanied by a parent or guardian. In Panaji, the 100km cycle ride will start at the Probyk cycle store at St Inez at 0630 hrs and end at 1400 hrs, while the 50 km cycle ride will start at 0645 hrs and end at 1045 hrs.
