MARGAO
The highly anticipated second season of the Alcon GSB Unity Cup 2025, a T20 cricket tournament organized by the GSB Sports and Charitable Trust in collaboration with the Goa Saraswat Samaj, is set to begin on January 18 at the MCC ground in Margao.
The tournament will feature 32 thrilling matches and will continue until March 8, promising an exciting cricketing spectacle for fans across the state.
The opening ceremony, scheduled for 6 pm on January 18, will be inaugurated by Ashish Nehra, former Indian cricketer and current head coach of Gujarat Titans. A host of eminent personalities will also grace the occasion, including Aakash Naik Khaunte, Director of Alcon (Anil Counto Enterprises); Chirag Naik, Managing Director of Commonwealth Developers; Tanmay Kholkar, Founder of Manas Developers; Dr. Sagar Salgaocar, Director of Geno Pharmaceuticals; Swapneel Nachinolkar, Director of Priority Group; Yogesh Naik, President of the Margao Cricket Club; Prathamesh Sukhthankar, Partner at Shamarao Builders; and Dr. Desh Prabhudesai, President of Goa Saraswat Samaj.
The opening match will follow the ceremony, with Commonwealth Mega Strikers taking on Rising Stars of Antruz at 6:30 PM.
