Avnish Borker emerged victorious at the Curti Chess Tournament, held at the Shree Krishna Temple Hall in Curti. The tournament, organized by Ajinkya Chess Academy in association with the Ponda Taluka Chess Association, saw Borker dominate the competition, finishing with 6.5 points to claim the title.
A closely contested event saw three players finishing with 6 points each, and following a tiebreaker, Swayam Naik secured second place, while Sathvik Kerkar claimed third.

The prize distribution ceremony was attended by several dignitaries, including Sagar Sakordekar, President of the Ponda Taluka Chess Association and Vice President of the Goa Chess Association; Shrikant Phatak, Retired PE Teacher from Dada Vaidya High School; Amogh Namshikar, Secretary of the Ponda Taluka Chess Association; and Sandesh Naik, Joint Secretary of the Ponda Taluka Chess Association. The prizes were handed over in the presence of Anand Kurtikar, In-charge of Ajinkya Chess Academy and Executive Committee Member of the Ponda Taluka Chess Association.
The tournament was smoothly conducted with the support of Assistant Arbiters Vrajesh Natekar and Milind Gaude.
