MARGAO
The yearly report of 2022-23 of the Compassion FC was released by the Archbishop of Goa, Cardinal Filipe Neri Ferrão. The report was presented to him by Kennedy D’Silva, Director of John Paul II Foundation for Sports, Goa which is an official body of the Archdiocese, in the presence of Compassion FC players, coaches, members and advisors.
Compassion FC won the titles at girls' GFA Khelo India under-17 and GFA under-14 tournaments, and were runners-up in the Vedanta Women’s Football League. They also won the 2nd Inspire Cup All India Inter Academy Football Girls under-16 Championship in Anantpur, Andhra Pradesh.
Compassion FC also won the women's championship at Manohar Parrikar Goa State Athletic Championship 2022-23. The women’s volleyball team of Compassion FC finished runners-up in All Goa tournament held last year. Several players from Compassion FC were called for the Indian national team trials in the junior age category while many of them have been part of the Goa State team at the senior, junior nationals and also the Goa University team.
Salgaocar FC U-13 team trials
Salgaocar FC will conduct trials for their under-13 team on April 10 & 11 at Camurlim Panchayat Ground, Loutolim at 3.30 pm. Boys born on or after January 1, 2011 are eligible to participate and should report at the venue with a playing kit along with an original birth certificate, Aadhaar card copy and a photograph. A bus will leave from KTC Bus stand, Margao at 2.45 pm.
Davorlim SC selection trials on April 10
Davorlim Sports Club will conduct selection trials for their under-15 football team on April 10 at 3.30 pm at Davorlim Sports Club Ground in Layamati, Davorlim. The cutoff date for the eligibility of selection is January 1, 2009. Players should produce their birth certificate and two passport-size photographs and bring a playing kit. Skating association to hold trials
PANAJI: The Skating Association of Goa will hold selection trials for the 1st National Inter District Roller Skating Championship 2023 in cadet sub-junior, junior, senior and masters to be held at Mohali.
