The 39th edition of Nanda Lolayekar cricket tournament, sponsored by Commonwealth Developers, will begin from November 15 at Nirakar ground, Mashem.
As per the directives of Goa Cricket Association (GCA), Ranji probables selected for the new season (31 players) will not be allowed to play the tournament only for this year, considering their safety due to the pandemic situation.
This is the only tournament in Goa which is played in full-day format for the last 38 years and only the clubs registered with GCA can participate in the tournament. This year, the matches will be held on Saturdays and Sundays and the tournament will be completed by the end of January as GCA will be doing major renovation work of the venue from February 2021.
