Goa women won all the matches on the second day of the 34th Senior National Tennis Ball Cricket Championship, held at Mh. Sathak College of Engineering in Ramanathapuram, Tamil Nadu, on Sunday.
In the Women's Group C League Matches, Goa faced off against Telangana in the first match. Telangana batted first, managing to score 33 runs for the loss of 6 wickets in their allotted 6 overs. Goa responded by chasing down the target of 34 runs in 4.4 overs, securing victory by 4 wickets.
The momentum continued for Goa in the second match against Andaman and Nicobar, as they posted a total of 47 runs for the loss of 4 wickets in 6 overs. Andaman and Nicobar struggled in their chase, managing only 10 runs for the loss of 6 wickets, resulting in a comfortable victory for Goa by 37 runs.
In the third match against Jammu and Kashmir, Goa's dominance persisted. Jammu and Kashmir set a target of 29 runs for the loss of 6 wickets in 6 overs. However, Goa chased down the target comfortably, scoring 33 runs for the loss of 1 wicket in just 2.3 overs, securing a comprehensive victory by 7 wickets.
In a Men's Group B match, Goa batted first against CBSC and posted 61 for the loss of 7 wickets in 8 overs. In reply, CBSC managed to score 52 runs for the loss of 4 wickets in their allotted 8 overs.
Goa's strong bowling performance, particularly by Punit Khandeparkar and Kannayya Gaude, helped them secure the narrow victory by 9 runs.
