Eight schools from North Goa and six schools from South will be taking part in the Directorate of Sports and Youth Affairs (DYSA) State Level Nehru Hockey Tournament for Under-15 Boys to be played at Hockey Stadium, Peddem Mapusa from August 21.
Of the 14 teams in action, St Britto HS Mapusa and Fr Agnel HS, Pilar have got a first-round bye, while other teams will see first-round action.
Janata HS Mapusa will take on Holy Cross HS Siolim, St Anthony HS Guirim meet St Joseph Educational Institute Chandor, Honda HS Honda will square up to Holy Cross HS Bastora in the top half of the draw, all matches which will be played in the morning session and evening sessions of August 21.
In the lower half of the draw, Damodar HS Gudi will meet another South Goa school Our Lady of Lourdes HS Utorda, St. Anthony HS Majorda face St. Joseph HS Calangute, while Perpetual Succour Convent HS Navelim and St. Jude HS Betalbatim cross paths in the all-South Goa clash, all matches which will be held on August 22 in both sessions.
The second-round matches will take place on August 23 and the third round on August 24. The semi-finals will take place on August 26 and the final on August 27, 9.30 am and the third-place match on the same day at 10.45 am.
