Goalkeeper Arshdeep Singh who recently joined Hyderabad FC for the 2024-25 Indian Super League (ISL) season, ahead of his team's first match against Bengaluru FC, Arshdeep shared his thoughts about the move and the upcoming season.
Arshdeep, 26, when asked why he made the switch from FCGoa to Hyderabad FC, he said, “There’s no exact reason. It’s just part of the game. I felt that Hyderabad FC was the right choice for me at this time.” He also mentioned his previous experience with coach Thangboi Singto, whom he worked with at Odisha FC. “We have a very good relationship, and he told me that I would be a good addition to the team,” Arshdeep explained.
As for his goals for the season, Arshdeep emphasized taking it one match at a time. “Right now, we’re focused on tomorrow’s match against Bengaluru. We want to give our best and be competitive,” he said. He acknowledged that while the squad is young, they also have experienced players like Lenny Rodrigues, which he believes will help the team.
Arshdeep is looking forward to the challenge ahead and is confident that they will perform well. "We’re ready to give our best,” he added with a smile.
The match against Bengaluru FC is set to take place on Thursday evening, and all eyes will be on Arshdeep as he takes the field for his new club.
