Rossman Cruz Nagoa Verna thumped Carmona SC 5-0 to move into the final of the Curtorim Villagers Cup 2023 at Curtorim ground.
Rossman broke the deadlock through Roydon Rego in the 22nd minute. He doubled the score in the 27th minute. In the second half, Rossman scored two more goals through Andrus John's brace (37' & 38'). Roydon Rego scored his hat-trick goal in the 41st minute to make it 5-0.
Rossman Cruz Nagoa Verna will meet Navelim Sporting in the final on April 30. Rossman Cruz's Roydon Rego was awarded the Man of the match prize, which he received at the hands of Caitano Hilario, Sarpanch, VP Curtorim.
First Div: Cuncolim Union hold Curtorim Gymkhana
Curtorim Gymkhana and Cuncolim Union played a 2-2 draw in the GFA First Division League at Don Bosco Oratory Ground, Fatorda Monday.
Semson Fernandes scored in the 31st minute to give the lead to Curtorim Gymkhana. Denil Rebello scored for Cuncolim Union through a penalty in the 38th minute, 1-1. Hanslum Furtado scored the second for Curtorim Gymkhana in the 41st minute. However, Cuncolim Union equalised soon after through M Rodrigues in the 55th minute.
YC Manora down SJD Areal 2-1
YC Manora defeated Sao Jose de Areal 2-1 in the GFA First Division League at Rosary Ground, Navelim Monday. The match started on an attacking note as YC Manora scored their first through Sweden Fernandes in the 8th minute. Sao Jose de Areal equalised through Sandeep Chaudhary in the 34th minute. Joswel Cardozo scored the second for YC Manora in the 39th minute, which proved to be the winner.
Carmel SC edge past DBO Fatorda
Carmel SC Telaulim Navelim beat Don Bosco Oratory Fatorda 1-0 and moved into the quarterfinals of the AYA Rolling Trophy football tournament at Raia Panchayat ground on Monday. Clive Miranda of Fatorda missed a chance to score in the 9th minute. Velington Almeida of Telaulim netted the match-winner in the 17th minute.
Cindroy winner puts Dicarpale in quarters
Dicarpale SC defeated Saligao SC 1-0 to reach the quarterfinals of the Our Lady of Assumpta Cup inter-village football tournament organised by Sarzora Sports Club at Church ground, Chinchinim on Monday. Cindroy Furtado struck the lone goal of the match for Dicarpale in the 17th minute.
Jayden, Samma win U-17 skating titles
