Shree Nagesh Maharudra Sports & Cultural Club and Sateri Sports Club played out a 1-1 draw in the GFA Second Division League at Taleigao ground on Monday.Shree Nagesh Maharudra Sports & Cultural Club took the lead in the 23rd minute when Subham Vernekar shot the ball into the net. Sateri Sports Club equalised the scoreline through Satyam Kankonkar in the 42nd minute.
The second half turned out to be a dull encounter as both teams failed to threaten either side, hence walking away with a point each at Taleigao.
U-13 DIVISION LEAGUE
Salgaocar FC defeated Churchill Brothers FC Goa 8-1 in the U13 Division League at Dramapur Ground on Monday.
The match started on an attacking note. Messi Rebello turned out to be a goal-scoring machine for Salgaocar FC as he netted the ball at several intervals in the first half.
It didn't take Salgaocar FC that long to take the lead in the 13th minute through Messi Rebello. Messi Rebello soon doubled the score for Salgaocar FC in the next minute. He once again seized the opportunity and shot the ball right into the net putting Salgaocar 3-0 ahead. He then scored his fourth in the 45+2 minute completing his quadruple.
In the second half, Churchill Brothers FC Goa's Arham Bisti tried to reduce the deficit by scoring the lone goal in the 50th minute.
Anosh Vaz scored a brace for the winners. Adriel Gomes and Joston Carvalho each scored for Salgaocar FC thereby sealing an impressive victory.
Union of Chinchinim Villagers blank Sirvodem SC 9-0
PANAJI: Union of Chinchinim Villagers blanked Sirvodem Sports Club with a resounding 9-0 win in CAM GFA U-14 girl’s league at Rosary Ground on Monday.
Vania Godinho gave the lead for the winners by breaking the deadlock in the 3rd minute. Valaina Fernandes doubled the score in the 7th minute.
Clea Colaco added the third in the 21st minute. Valaina Fernandes netted her second in the 26th minute completing her brace. Union of Chinchinim Villagers walked away 4-0 at the break.
In the second half, Annalee D’Costa scored the fifth goal of the game. Annalee Fernandes and Carissa Rodrigues added to Sirvodem's misery by scoring 2 own-goal taking the scoreline to 7-0.
Neha Verlecar of Chinchinim netted her first goal in the 52nd minute and completed her brace in the 70th minute which completed Chinchinim's cruising victory.
