Sirvodem Sports Club are geared up to launch their challenge in the Indian Women's League against Indian Arrows on Friday in Bhubaneswar, Odisha.
Sirvodem chief coach Chitra Gangadheran said the girls are raring to go with the sole objective of performing well on debut. "The girls have been displaying excellent work and feel great about themselves. They are highly motivated lot. Once they click, there is no stopping. But the element of luck also play its role (in the competition)," commented Chitra.
"Since ours is the only Goan team in the league, it's a great chance for us to showcase the talent we have. We have a short two-day training after four days of quarantine," Chitra said.
"I am confident that the girls will perform to their potential. We can accomplish our goal and that's the belief of the players, the technical director and the assistant coach. All the teams are tough but the girls have all the requisites to challenge the rivals. They are fighters and will never give up," Chitra concluded.
